Using Your Scholarship Award
Your scholarship will be credited toward your bill ONLY after
you authorize the university to do so. For this reason, a
signature is required. If there is money left over after your
bill is paid, you will be sent a check by mail 2-3 weeks after
school begins.
Using Your Financial Aid Award
Your financial aid award will be credited toward your bill
ONLY after you authorize the university to do so. For this
reason, a signature is required. (Students who receive loans
must sign a promissory note in the Financial Aid Office before
the loan will be issued.) If there is money left over after
your bill is paid, you will be sent a check by mail 2-3 weeks
after school begins.
Paying The Full Amount On Your Own
If you are able, you may pay the full amount using cash,
credit card, or check. Full payment can be mailed in (except
cash) or placed in the drop box located on the north side of
Smith Hall. Check the newspaper schedule for payment
deadlines.
Paying in Three Installments
If you would like to pay in three smaller installments, you
may request "fee deferral." Because paperwork is involved, fee
deferral must be handled in person. A $30 charge is added to
your bill for this service. In essence, McNeese pays your bill
and you repay the university in installments. For this reason,
you are responsible for repaying the university regardless of
whether you drop one or ALL of your classes.
1st payment due prior to semester
(except late registration)
2nd & 3rd payments due during semester - check fee deferral
agreements.
If you miss you payments or pay late,
a $75 charge is added, and you are NOT eligible to use the fee
deferral plan in the future. If you have questions, call
475-5107.
***IMPORTANT
REMINDER***
Even if your scholarship or financial
aid covers your entire bill and your balance shows "ZERO", you
must return your invoice to acknowledge the acceptance of the
awards. This grants McNeese permission to use such monies to
cover your expenses.
