Seven McNeese State University men’s and women’s rodeo team members have qualified for the 66th College National Finals Rodeo to be held June 15-21 in Casper, Wyo.

Late summer registration begins Thursday, June 5, at McNeese State University.

  The President's Honor List for the spring 2014 semester at McNeese State University has been announced. To be on the President's Honor List, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average or better while carrying at least 15 semester hours. A senior eligible for graduation but carrying less than 15 hours is also provided that student was on the President's Honor List the previous semester. Twenty-eight McNeese State University students received the Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00) designation in spring commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 17, at Burton Coliseum.

(May 30, 2014) A six-week anger management group for adults will be offered on Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. starting June 19 by the Kay Dore Counseling Clinic at McNeese State University. The sessions will be held in the clinic located in Room 223 of Farrar Hall.               The group will focus on understanding anger, its triggers and how to effectively express it, learning new techniques to measure anger through communication and conflict resolution, and setting goals on how to use techniques that best fit each participant's lifestyle and values.             Cost is based on a sliding fee scale.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students at McNeese State University have an opportunity to receive a crash course on what it means to be a Cowboy at the seventh annual Cowboy Camp Aug. 23-24, 2014. This new two-day format will be held the weekend prior to the beginning of fall classes, with students learning all about McNeese history and Cowboy traditions before entering a classroom.          "We expanded the format to include so much more," said Kedrick Nicholas, director of Holbrook Student Union and Activities.
