McNeese State University President Dr. Philip Williams announced today that he will retire on June 30, 2017. Williams has served as president since July 1, 2010.

McNeese State University will host the 2017 Louisiana Intercollegiate Honor Band Jan. 13-15. Eighty college musicians representing nine universities from across the state will converge on the McNeese campus for this event.
McNeese State University will kick off its spring 2017 SAGE series titled “Louisiana and Beyond” with a lecture on “The Yucatán Peninsula” by acclaimed Louisiana photographer C.C. Lockwood.

McNeese State University conferred an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree to George Swift, president and CEO of the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance, during the 147th commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 10, at Burton Coliseum.
Phillips 66 has donated $25,000 to the McNeese State University College of Engineering and Computer Science through the McNeese Foundation.
The Harold and Pearl Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences at McNeese State University has been awarded a $3,000 grant by the US Poultry Foundation as part of its Industry Education Recruitment Funding program.
Banners at McNeese State University is annually supported by donations from area corporate sponsors. Knight Media Printing has recently donated $5,000 to Banners at McNeese for its upcoming 2017 season.
Students who have registered online for McNeese State University’s 2017 regular spring semester have until 4:30 p.m. Jan. 11 to pay fees. Spring classes begin Jan. 17.
