A free screening of the 2015 international film, “Desert Dancer,” will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Cinemark Movie Theatre in Lake Charles.

Author Erin Entrada Kelly of Philadelphia, Pa., will give a free reading at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, in Stokes Auditorium of Hardtner Hall as part of the 2016 lineup of Banners at McNeese.

The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present Victor Medina on trumpet in a free junior recital at 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church

The McNeese spring SAGE series will continue with a lecture by historian Dr. Laura D. Kelley based on her book, “The Irish in New Orleans,” from 3-4 p.m. Monday, March 14.

McNeese State University’s chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers is hosting the 2016 ASCE Deep South Regional Conference March 10-12.
