The McNeese Visual Arts Department will sponsor a gumbo fundraiser on March 9 to raise funds to help send ceramics students to the 46th Annual National Council on Education for the Ceramics Arts Conference.
The college will host open houses for the community and for high school juniors and seniors as part of National Engineers Week 2012 activities Feb. 27-28.
The McNeese Department of Visual Arts has received a $1,000 donation from Associated Louisiana Artists Inc. Each year, the organization sponsors a fundraiser - Affaire D'Art - in support of the department, with the proceeds used to help fund student scholarships.
