Award-winning writer Dr. Jeffery Renard Allen will give a reading from his works at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the Business Conference Center at McNeese State University.
(October 14, 2014) Calcasieu Cinema International will host the 2012 award-winning film, "The Iran Job," at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the Historic Central School Auditorium in Lake Charles.
McNeese's 2014 Homecoming Week is October 12-18. There are several events planned for the week - including a special appearance by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at the Homecoming Parade Oct. 16.

McNeese State University's Diamond Jubilee celebration, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales in the Homecoming parade, oozeball, college and department open houses, tailgating, the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen and the Cowboys vs.
The W.R. Grace Foundation has donated $6,000 to McNeese State University through the McNeese Foundation.
A fundraising campaign has kicked off to help send McNeese’s Pride of McNeese Marching Band to the 2015 football opener against LSU in Tiger Stadium.
The McNeese Department of Visual Arts will host an opening reception for McNeese art professor Heather Ryan Kelley’s exhibition - “The Midden Heap Project” – from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.

McNeese will host its 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee celebration at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Stream Alumni Center. This event is for all alumni, friends of the university, faculty, staff and students.

The McNeese Department of Performing Arts will present a free alumni recital at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in the Shearman Fine Arts Performing Arts Theatre.
