Registration for the fall semester at McNeese State University is currently underway through Aug. 19. The fall class schedule is available online at www.mcneese.edu/schedule and all students should see an adviser, if required, to get their alternate PINS prior to registration. Aug. 5 is the deadline to apply for admission to McNeese for regular fall registration. Classes begin Aug. 26 and students can go online to www.mcneese.edu and click on the "Current Students" tab and then select Banner Self-Service under Registration to begin the registration process. Heather Ryan Kelley, professor of art at McNeese State University, has artwork included in the 10th Anniversary Art Melt Invitational exhibition in the Louisiana State University Museum of Art.
Meghan Fleming, McNeese State University associate professor of art, has an exhibition titled "Fluid Land: Cartographic Drawings of a Southwest Louisiana Landscape," opening at Art Associates Gallery in the Central School Arts & Humanities Center.
The Governor's Program for Gifted Children- a seven-week summer residential program on the McNeese State University campus - will present two theatre productions and a concert July 24-27 as part of its closing activities.
McNeese State University Athletics Director Tommy McClelland has been selected to become the next athletic director at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. McClelland has led the athletics department at McNeese since 2007.
The McNeese State University Burton College of Education is sponsoring its annual teaching and learning conference for PK-12 educators August 1-2 on the McNeese Campus. "Literacy, Numeracy and Technology" is the theme of this year's conference.
