(October 1, 2014) A workshop titled "IRS 2014 Updates for Tax Preparers and CPAs" will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 21 in Room A of the Willis Noland Conference Center in the SEED Center at McNeese State University. kshop will be presented by the IRS and the Louisiana Department of Revenue and is sponsored by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at McNeese. Certificates of attendance will be issued. Cost is $25 per person and includes continental breakfast.

If so, a free seminar titled "Starting and Financing a Small Business" will be presented from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Rooms A/B of the McNeese State University SEED Center. The seminar will offer information on financing a start-up, learning how to write a business plan and understanding what a banker really wants to know. The seminar will be presented by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at McNeese.
(October 9, 2014) It's time for the McNeese 75th Anniversary Homecoming Week Scavenger Hunt! The rules are simple - just capture as many photos of yourself as you can with the items/locations from the following list and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, October 20. (Photos can be selfies or taken of you by someone else). The winner will win a $100 gift card to the McNeese Bookstore! In the event that more than one person submits all the photos, or the same majority amount, the winner will be selected from that group by a random drawing.
