McNeese State University’s Jazz and Percussion Festival featuring highly acclaimed jazz organist and trumpeter Joey DeFrancesco will close the 2014 McNeese Banners Cultural Season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3.

The McNeese State University Art Association will hold its annual student spring art sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, May 2, in the lobby of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The highly acclaimed doo-wop group, The Alley Cats, will perform the great songs of the 50s and 60s in concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 26, in F.G. Bulber Auditorium at McNeese State University as part of the 2014 Banners Cultural Season.

The pioneering string quartet, ETHEL, will perform in concert with Grammy Award-winning Native American flutist Robert Mirabal at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, in F.G. Bulber Auditorium as part of the McNeese State University 2014 Banners Cultural Season.

The French period film, “Les Adieux à la Reine (“Farewell, My Queen”)” will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in Stokes Auditorium in Hardtner Hall as part of the 2014 McNeese State University Banners Cultural Season.

Dr. Mark Wyman, the James Arthur Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University, will present a free lecture on cosmology at 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, in the McNeese Business Conference Center.

The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present Manny Neault, trombone, and Tony Sandoval, trumpet, in a free senior recital at 7:30 p.m. April 11 in Ralph Squires Recital Hall of the Shearman Fine Arts Center.
