Auditions are set for the McNeese State University Theatre's 72nd season. Auditions for the fall season are set for Aug. 19-20, while auditions for spring productions are Jan. 13-14. McNeese Theatre's season opens with George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" Sept. 28-Oct. 2. "Pygmalion" remains Shaw's most popular and most famous play, mostly through its film adaptation as "My Fair Lady." It tells the story of Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics, who makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering that he can turn a Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, into a refined society lady merely by teaching her how to speak with an upper class accent and training her in etiquette. Eliza teaches Henry that being a lady is more than just speaking like one.
A one-stop registration help desk will be available to students during late fall registration Aug. 15-18 at McNeese State University. Students who have met with their advisers and received their alternate PIN can drop by the Academic Computing Center in Kirkman Hall from 7:45 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, and from 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 16-18, to receive assistance with late registration. At the help desk, representatives from financial aid and the registrar's office will be available to answer questions and help with pin/password resets.

Students who have enrolled and registered online for McNeese State University's fall semester have until 4 p.m. Aug. 12 to pay fees. Fall classes begin Aug. 17. Fall 2011 term bills will be available online after July 18 to students through the MyMcNeese Portal or their Banner Self-Service account. Fee bills will not be mailed. To access the fee bills, use the "View My Bill" link under the Student and/or Registration tabs on the Banner Self-Service page, or go to the "View My Bill" link under the Quick Links section on the MyMcNeese Portal homepage.
