A special tour and lecture by Dr. Shane Bernard titled, “The Tabasco Story at Avery Island” will take place Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Jungle Gardens in Avery Island as part of the fall McNeese SAGE series.

The McNeese Performing Arts Department will present a free flute recital featuring Ransom Wilson at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Tritico Theatre.

A free seminar titled “Starting and Financing a Small Business” will be presented from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Oct. 15, in Room B on the second floor of the SEED Center at McNeese State University.

The McNeese Department of Performing Arts will present a free concert featuring the Chamber Singers at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in Tritico Theatre.

A reunion for McNeese State University Co-Ed Cheerleaders – hosted by the McNeese Alumni Association - will be held from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Noland Alumni Pavilion as part of the Homecoming 2015 celebration.

McNeese State University’s chapter of Society of Professional Journalists was recognized as the Region 12 Outstanding Campus Chapter of the Year at the recent 2015 SPJ Excellence in Journalism Conference in Orlando, Fla.

2014 Career Fair
The fall 2015 McNeese State University Career Fair will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Recreational Complex on campus.

CB&I of Lake Charles has presented at $15,000 donation to McNeese to establish the endowed CB&I Engineering Scholarship in the McNeese College of Engineering.
