Fall 2016 GradFest will be held for fall graduating students at McNeese State University from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in the Holbrook Student Union (Old Ranch).

Jane Shellenbarger
The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host a free ceramics workshop featuring artist Jane M. Shellenbarger on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17-18.

Official advising for McNeese State University students for the spring 2017 semester is currently underway through Oct. 21. New for students this year is Degree Works, an online academic advising program accessible from any computer.

The McNeese Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior vocal recital by soprano April Stone, of Sulphur, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The McNeese State University women’s rodeo team took fourth place and the men’s team took fifth place in the recent rodeo competition at Panola College in Carthage, Texas.

Molly Jones
The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior vocal recital by soprano Molly Jones, of Lake Charles, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The Office of Financial Aid staff members will present several free financial aid workshops in high schools throughout a seven-parish area - as well as six regional workshops – in October and November for local high school students and their parents as well as current McNeese students.

Twenty-five students have been selected for the McNeese State University Honors College for the 2016-2017 academic year.
