McNeese State University's Department of Education Professions and Ann Rosteet Hurley Center for Economic Education have partnered with the Junior Achievement of Southwest Louisiana organization.

Construction is underway on the new 4,709 square-foot alumni pavilion located in the Alumni Grove directly south of the Stream Alumni Center at McNeese State University.

GradFest 2013 will be held for fall graduating students at McNeese from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 in the Holbrook Student Union (Old Ranch).

The W.R. Grace Foundation has donated $6,000 to McNeese State University through the Foundation to be divided between the McNeese colleges of business and engineering.

Kathleen Higgins, a 2011 visual arts graduate of McNeese State University has won the KBYS logo contest for the new radio station - KBYS 88.3 FM - to be launched in spring 2014 on the McNeese campus.

Renowned pianist Alexandre Dossin will be featured in a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Shearman Fine Arts Performing Arts Theatre.

The Angels of Southwest Louisiana organization has donated $5,000 through the McNeese Foundation to sponsor the second Business Pitch competition hosted by McNeese and the SEED Center.

The McNeese State University Theatre Bayou Players will present "Antigone" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2-5 with a 2 p.m. matinee Oct. 6 in the Shearman Fine Arts Performing Arts Theatre.

A day of campus beautification followed by a picnic will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m Oct. 5. Registration is required.
