McNeese State University has received the StormReady designation by the National Weather Service (NWS). McNeese is just the second university in Louisiana to receive the StormReady certification.

Each year, the organization sponsors a fundraiser - Affaire D'Art - in support of the department, with the proceeds used to help fund student scholarships.
