The McNeese State University Visual Arts Department will sponsor Java Jive - a cup and mug fundraiser from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13

McNeese State University’s Greek Week is March 11-15 and several events have been planned throughout the week.

A memorial concert in honor of Lake Charles Symphony Conductor William D. Kushner will be presented on stage at 7:30 p.m. March 11 in Ralph Squires Recital Hall at McNeese State University.

The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present free back-to-back guest artists recitals featuring faculty from the Louisiana State University School of Music March 8-9 in the Shearman Fine Arts Performing Arts Theatre

Several activities have been planned for students, faculty and staff as part of Multicultural Week March 4-6 on the McNeese State University campus. This event is sponsored by the McNeese Multicultural Programming.

The McNeese State University Regional High School Honor Band Weekend is being hosted Feb. 28-March 2 by the McNeese Bands program.

A “Steps for St. Jude 5K Fun Run and Walk” will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at the McNeese State University Recreational Complex to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

McNeese State University’s Financial Aid Office is co-sponsoring a Financial Aid Awareness Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Student Union (Old Ranch) to remind students that it’s time to reapply for financial aid for 2013-2014.

Dr. Chris Thomas, director of campus life, recently attended the four-day National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Institute for Aspiring Senior Student Affairs Officers in New Orleans.

The McNeese State University Theatre Bayou Players will present “Almost, Maine” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20-23, with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 24 in Ralph Squires Recital Hall.
