Homecoming King and Queen
Aaron Myers, a business administration senior from Elton, and Rosemary Prejean, a biological science senior from Lake Charles, have been named as McNeese State University’s 2016 Homecoming King and Queen.

Several contests were held in conjunction with Homecoming activities on the McNeese State University campus this week.

The McNeese State University men’s and women’s rodeo teams placed second in the recent Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo in Mt. Pleasant.

Award-winning poet Chloe Honum will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in Stokes Auditorium in Hardtner Hall at McNeese State University.

The 16th annual McNeese Homecoming Step Show competition will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in F.G. Bulber Auditorium on the McNeese State University campus.

The McNeese Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior percussion recital by Jade Trahan, of Sulphur, at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The McNeese Performing Arts Department will present a free guest artist recital featuring Duo Cintemani at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in Tritico Theatre of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The McNeese State University Rodeo Team is holding its 62nd annual rodeo Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Burton Complex Outdoor Arena.

The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts is hosting the 4th Annual Undergraduate Printmaking Symposium Oct. 26-28 for faculty and students attending Louisiana universities.

The McNeese State University men’s rodeo team placed third and the women’s team placed fourth at the recent Southwest Texas Junior College rodeo competition in Uvalde, Texas.
