GradFest 2014 will be held for fall graduating students at McNeese State University from 9 a.m-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Holbrook Student Union.

Several contests were held in conjunction with Homecoming activities on the McNeese State University campus this week.

The W.R. Grace Foundation has donated $6,000 to McNeese State University through the McNeese Foundation.

McNeese Drum Line
A fundraising campaign has kicked off to help send McNeese’s Pride of McNeese Marching Band to the 2015 football opener against LSU in Tiger Stadium.

The McNeese Department of Visual Arts will host an opening reception for McNeese art professor Heather Ryan Kelley’s exhibition - “The Midden Heap Project” – from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.

The Lake Area Mental and Behavioral Health Conference will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10, in Farrar Hall at McNeese State University.

Oct. 10 is the deadline for community entries and the fee is $50 per unit. This year's theme is “Cowboys Forever.” The Cowboys are playing the Wildcats of Abilene Christian for homecoming at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 in Cowboy Stadium.

Prize presentation
Ayumi Ogawa, a visual arts senior with concentrations in graphic design and drawing from Sapporo, Japan, has won the logo design contest for the Kay Doré Counseling Clinic.

Poet John Poch
Award-winning poet John Poch will give a free reading from his works at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in the Business Conference Center at McNeese State University.

Fall Career Fair
The fall 2014 McNeese State University Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in the Recreational Complex on campus.
