A workshop titled “Starting & Financing a Small Business” will be offered from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, May 18, on the second floor of the McNeese State University SEED Center.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at McNeese State University is offering a free workshop for women business owners from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, in the SEED Center at McNeese.

The Louisiana Chapter of the American Harp Society is presenting a free recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, in the Band Hall at McNeese State University.

A free small business summit titled “The Factors of Business,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Allen August Multipurpose Center Annex in Lake Charles.

The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior piano recital by Mary Buller of Lake Charles at 5 p.m. Monday, May 1, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

The McNeese State University women’s rodeo team placed second while the men’s team placed third at the final rodeo competition of the season at the Wharton County Community College in Wharton, Texas.

The Grammy-nominated Afro-Caribbean music group Tiempo Libre will conclude the 2017 Banners at McNeese State University season with a performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Rosa Hart Theatre in the Lake Charles Civic Center.

The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present the McNeese Concert Chorale, Chamber Singers and Women’s Ensemble in a free spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in Tritico Theatre
