A notary public exam prep course will be offered by the Electronic Learning Office from 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, March 9-May 24, in Room 118 in the Burton Business Center on McNeese’s campus.

The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host High School Portfolio Day 2017 for junior and senior art students from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

22nd Annual Phonathon
The McNeese State University Alumni Association will host its 22nd annual phonathon Sunday, Jan. 22, through Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Pianist Lina Morita
The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a Louisiana Clarinet Symposium, featuring a free guest recital by clarinetist Mark Nuccio and pianist Lina Morita.

To be on the President’s Honor List, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average or better while carrying at least 15 semester hours.

The honor roll lists undergraduate students earning at least a 3.0 or B average while carrying 12 or more semester hours.

A seminar titled “Starting and Financing a Small Business” will be offered from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, on the second floor of the SEED Center at McNeese State University.

George Swift honorary Doctor
McNeese State University conferred an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree to George Swift, president and CEO of the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance, during the 147th commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 10, at Burton Coliseum.

Phillips 66 Donation
Phillips 66 has donated $25,000 to the McNeese State University College of Engineering and Computer Science through the McNeese Foundation.

Knight Media Donates to Banners
Banners at McNeese State University is annually supported by donations from area corporate sponsors. Knight Media Printing has recently donated $5,000 to Banners at McNeese for its upcoming 2017 season.
