The 23nd Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition opens with a reception honoring the selected artists at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 25, in the Abercrombie Gallery located in Room 125 of the Shearman Fine Arts Center at McNeese State University. The exhibit, which runs through April 23, is sponsored by the McNeese Visual Arts Department and is part of the 2010 McNeese Banner Cultural Series.
Peter Frank, art critic for the Angeleno Magazine and long-time critic for LA Weekly and senior curator of Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, Calif., is the juror for this year’s Works on Paper Exhibition. Frank has selected 61 works from a broad national spectrum of entries to participate in this year’s exhibition. He will give a gallery talk about the selected artworks at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays and the gallery is closed on weekends and for university holidays.
