The membership campaign for the 20th season of the Banners Cultural Series at McNeese State University is in full swing. Twenty events will take place between Feb. 26 and May 12, and will range from a Bollywood style of belly dancing to singing the blues.

A contribution of $30,000 has been made to the McNeese State University Foundation for the Ray A. Todd Jr. Scholarship.

Six McNeese State University students received the Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00) designations in fall commencement ceremonies held Saturday, Dec. 17, at Burton Coliseum.
Two students were recognized for earning a 4.0 grade point average throughout their college careers –Elizabeth A. Duos, Ville Platte, in mathematics education-Grades 6-12; and Angelica Maria Gonzalez-Pimiento, Bogota, Colombia, in accounting and in finance.
The other honor students recognized were:
SUMMA CUM LAUDE: Jessica Lynn Aguillard, Lake Charles; Dana Ann Cradeur, Falls City, Neb.; Imelda Octaviana, Jakarta, Indonesia; Anna K. Odom, Kinder.
MAGNA CUM LAUDE (3.70-3.89): Amelia Dawn Abshire, Lake Charles; Cameron Nicole Arthur, DeRidder; Ashish Bhatia, Chandigorh, India; Jennifer C.
The McNeese State University Banners Cultural Series is annually supported by donations from area corporate sponsors. Knight Media Printing Inc. has donated $7,000 for the Banners Series.
The Badge of Honor committee recently donated $25,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation for the Zeb Johnson Scholarship.

CITGO Petroleum Corp. has presented a $10,000 donation to the McNeese State University Foundation for chemical and mechanical engineering scholarships
Forty-six students received their official McNeese State University rings during the recent fall ring ceremony detailing the meaning and symbolism of the ring.

Gray Plantation has donated $8,211.93 to the McNeese Alumni Association as part of a community partnership program that allowed McNeese alumni to join the Clubs of Graywood with a 50 percent reduction in the initiation fee.
The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host the Fall Senior Exhibition Dec. 1-15 in the Abercrombie Gallery of the Shearman Fine Arts Center.
