The McNeese State University Theatre Bayou Players will kick off the spring season with a production of Steve Martin's comedy, "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4-7 with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 8 in the Tritico Theatre.

McNeese State University financial aid staff members will visit area high schools in January, February and March to explain financial aid application procedures to students.

Entergy has donated $10,000 for the spring 2015 Banners program.

(January 21, 2015) The Louisiana State University Shreveport Continuing Education Department will present a seminar, “National Electrical Code,” from 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 2-18, on the McNeese State University campus.             The seminar will prepare the participant to sit for a journeyman, master electrician or state contractor license. The seminar will also work to enhance participants’ overall knowledge of the National Electric Code.             Cost is $295 and doesn’t include the Study Reference and Electrical Theory manual also required for the course.

Calcasieu Cinema International presents the film, “Storm,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the Central School Arts and Humanities Center in Lake Charles.
