| McNeese Official Ring Ceremony Set |

McNeese State University will hold its Official Ring Ceremony at 2 p.m.
Sunday, May 4, in Parra Ballroom of the Student Union Annex for those
McNeese students and alumni who purchased the official McNeese ring in early
spring.
During the event, McNeese President Robert D. Hebert will present the ring
to those students and alumni in a ceremony detailing the meaning and
symbolism of the ring.
The ring represents many of the traditions and symbols the students and
alumni identify with when they think of the spirit of McNeese - the seal, with
its torch, F.G. Bulber Auditorium, oak leaves and acorns, the year 1939,
when McNeese opened its doors, and the year of the student's graduation - all
surrounding a royal blue stone with MSU displayed and surrounded by the
words McNeese State University.
The McNeese Official Ring is available to all alumni, undergraduate students
having earned a minimum of 75 hours while pursuing a baccalaureate degree,
and degree candidates for the associate, master's or specialist degree.
