| Presenter discusses plagiarism, form and style |

Jeff Zuckerman, director of the writing center at Walden University, recently spoke to faculty at McNeese State University about how to assess student writing, including issues related to form, style, plagiarism and citation.
Zuckerman has edited newspaper and academic prose since 1985. He has master’s degrees in social work and mass communication from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in English from Penn State. A part-time instructor at Minnesota, his primary responsibilities at Walden are to edit dissertations and assist students and faculty with writing.
Walden University is an online institution that includes more than 270,000 students studying online at 58 campuses in 16 countries.
Zuckerman was invited to McNeese as part of the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan initiative, which states that all graduates of McNeese will have the ability to write effectively and appropriately in all disciplines.
