The McNeese State University Summer Piano Workshop will present evening recitals at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 28 and 29, and Friday, Aug. 1, in Ralph Squires Recital Hall.

The Monday recital will feature Drs. Lina Morita and Christy Vogt, assistant professors of piano at McNeese, and will include pieces by Scarlatti, Dello Joio, Jazwinkski, Gates, Chopin, Haydn and Rachmaninoff.

Dr. Bret Smithey, assistant professor of voice, will perform on Tuesday as the program’s guest artist. The program will include “Leb Wohl from Die Walkure” by Wagner, selections from “Sunless” by Mussorgsky, “Vous Qui Faites” by Gounod, “Der Linden Baum” by Schubert and “Sugar in the Cane” by Bowles. Morita and Vogt will also perform duet pieces that feature Schubert, Poulenc and Lecuona.

Workshop participants will present duet and solo pieces for the Friday concert.
