  Nursing Honor Society Inductions

The Kappa Psi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing at McNeese State University recently held its induction and installation ceremony. The following were inducted:

May 2009 graduates: Alesha Romine Alford, Allison Belaire Bonin, Cylee Ferrell Brock, Mandi Renee Broussard, Kathryn Marie Duncan, Leah Brook Fontenot, Jennifer Rae Godfrey, Brittni Louise Granger, Samantha Alycee’ Gueringer, Deborah Ann Huval, Shauna Marie Keating, Holly Renee LeJeune, Nikki Lynn Martin, Felicia Ann Matte, Kathleen Suzanne McFarlin, Patrick Christopher Oeder, Christen Alyse Pappillion, Marie Bryghte Pittman, Tarrah Shannel Rials, Jessica Lynn Spriggs and Sean Joseph Vincent.

December 2009 graduates: Cody Michael Abshire, Courtney Lynn Crosby, Kimberly Diana Galer, Ashley Bult Galley, Kadi Rae Guidry, Faren Marie Kleckley, Laura Denisse Maya, Alexa Nichole McNeil, Juaquetta Nicole Powell, Haley Elizabeth Romero, Jeong-A Song and Renee Lynn Tilley.

Master of Science in Nursing graduates: Joyce A Dippery, RN and Charon D. Randel, RN. Community members: Mary Ella Dubriel, RN, MSN, Kimberly Regina Conway-Pennick, RN, MSN and Sabrina LeDoux, RN, MSN.

The following were installed as officers and board members: Peggy LaGrange, vice president; Kathleen Williams, treasurer; Margaret Hebert, governance committee; and Sue Fontenot, first counselor. Continuing officers and board members are: Patsy Trahan, president; Lori Dougherty, secretary; Ricky Cooley and Amy Bufford, leadership committee; Sue Fontenot and Nicole Hubert, governance committee. Outgoing officers and board members are: Veronica Woodard, vice president; Merry Chandler, treasurer; and Cindy Howard, first counselor.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society recognizes superior achievement, the development of leadership qualities, fosters high professional standards, encourages creative work, and strengthens the commitment to the ideals and purposes of the nursing profession.
