The McNeese State University Department of Nutrition and Family Studies is offering its bachelor of science program in family and child studies online this fall.
The online degree is geared toward non-traditional students who need a degree program that is appropriate for their family, work and time commitments.
These programs prepare graduates for family services professional positions with non-profit, local, state and private agencies in such areas as family intervention, foster care, adoption services, youth programs, court-ordered parenting classes, family resource management, as well as administration of licensed day care centers for children ages 0-3 years.
The online degree programs are designed for students who are well-disciplined, self-motivated and capable of handling independent study and management of time.
Fall registration at McNeese is currently underway through July 10. The fall class schedule is available online at www.mcneese.edu/schedule. Classes begin Aug. 17.
