More than 200 area 4-H and Future Farmers of America students will participate in the 2008 McNeese State University Classic Livestock Show Friday-Sunday, Dec. 5-7, at the Burton Coliseum Livestock Facility.

The event, open to all livestock species, is sponsored by the McNeese Block & Bridle Club and the Harold and Pearl Dripps Department of Agricultural Sciences at McNeese.

The livestock show is open free to the public and will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Beef cattle will show on Saturday while market lambs, goats and hogs will show both Saturday and Sunday. The barn will open at 3 p.m. Friday.
