A contribution of $30,000 has been made to the McNeese State University Foundation for the Ray A. Todd Jr. Scholarship.

A one-stop registration help desk will be available to students during late spring registration Jan. 9-12 at McNeese State University.
Students who have met with their advisers and received their alternate PIN can drop by the Academic Computing Center in Kirkman Hall from 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, through Thursday, Jan. 12, to receive assistance with late registration.
At the help desk, representatives from financial aid and the registrar’s office will be available to answer questions and help with pin/password resets.
McNeese Theatre auditions for spring productions, “All My Sons” and “Louisiana Purchase,” will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in the Shearman Fine Arts Theatre, with call backs beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.
Based upon a true story, “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller opens the spring season March 14-18. This play is a tremendously impressive drama that received the New York Drama Critics Circle Award and the Tony Award for Best Play.
Set in August of 1946 in the mid-west of the United States, Joe Keller and Herbert Deever ran a machine shop that made airplane parts during the war. Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts, causing the deaths of many men. Keller went free and made a lot of money.
Six McNeese State University students received the Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00) designations in fall commencement ceremonies held Saturday, Dec. 17, at Burton Coliseum.
Two students were recognized for earning a 4.0 grade point average throughout their college careers –Elizabeth A. Duos, Ville Platte, in mathematics education-Grades 6-12; and Angelica Maria Gonzalez-Pimiento, Bogota, Colombia, in accounting and in finance.
The other honor students recognized were:

Robert Noland, a Lake Charles businessman, received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters during McNeese State University’s fall commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 17, at Burton Coliseum.
Dr. Jeanne Daboval, provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at McNeese State University, will confer degrees on 717 students at the university’s fall commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17.
The McNeese State University Banners Cultural Series is annually supported by donations from area corporate sponsors. Knight Media Printing Inc. has donated $7,000 for the Banners Series.
The Badge of Honor committee recently donated $25,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation for the Zeb Johnson Scholarship.
