Homecoming King and Queen
Joel Berken from Jennings, and Kourtney Kennedy from Moss Bluff, have been named as McNeese’s 2014 Homecoming King and Queen.

GradFest 2014 will be held for fall graduating students at McNeese State University from 9 a.m-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Holbrook Student Union.

Several contests were held in conjunction with Homecoming activities on the McNeese State University campus this week.

Retired Judge Fred R. Godwin donated $25,000 to McNeese State University through the McNeese Foundation to establish the Jeaneal White Godwin Memorial Recruiting fund.

Dr. Jeffery Allen, writer
Award-winning writer Dr. Jeffery Renard Allen will give a reading from his works at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the Business Conference Center at McNeese State University.

(October 14, 2014) Calcasieu Cinema International will host the 2012 award-winning film, "The Iran Job," at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the Historic Central School Auditorium in Lake Charles.

McNeese's 2014 Homecoming Week is October 12-18. There are several events planned for the week - including a special appearance by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at the Homecoming Parade Oct. 16.

The W.R. Grace Foundation has donated $6,000 to McNeese State University through the McNeese Foundation.
