The Louisiana Small Business Development Center of McNeese State University will present “Emergency Contracting: Are You Ready?” from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the university’s Business Conference Center.

Robert Dempsey, procurement counselor for the Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, will be the featured speaker for the free event. Topics to be covered include the acquisition process, pricing and labor laws, size determinations, the registration process and prime and sub contracting. The seminar is presented in partnership with the Disaster Business Counseling Center.
