Students prepare research in business practices

Sixteen McNeese State University students from the College of Business have submitted research abstracts in preparation for the Global Business Development Institute Conference in Las Vegas. The research is designed for presentation to the academic community, according to Dr. Mitchell Adrian, dean.

The three teams wrote research papers about the ethical duties of human resource management, the relationships between national culture and perceptions of justice and how organizations can create management systems that motivate high performance and organizational citizenship behaviors.

Co-authors of “Organizational Citizenship Behavior and the Hofstede Model: Practical Problems in the Global Context” were Jacob Casey, Matthew Duhon and Kendyl Thomas of Sulphur, Kayla Gradney of Lake Charles and Ian Quey of Gretna. Co authors of “Ethical Issues in International Human Resource Management” were Christine Buckner, Latisha John and Callie Marcantel, all of Lake Charles; and Kristin Fry of Houma. Co-authors of “Managing Justly Across Cultures: The Problem of Fairness in International Business” were Diana Castleberry, Terra Gauthreaux, Lacy Lavergne, Nicholas Marnich, Zhena Pousson and Chad Thibodeaux, all of Lake Charles. Dr. Cam Caldwell, director of the M.B.A. program at McNeese, assisted the students.
