Students can still register for the fall 2017 semester at McNeese State University online or with their faculty adviser during late registration Aug. 18-22.

Fall classes begin Aug. 21 at McNeese State University and students will notice several changes around campus this semester.

Several programs are scheduled for the Howdy Rowdy Welcome Back Series 2017. These programs and activities for new and returning students promote campus engagement.
Howdy Rowdy Welcome Back 2017 will kick off the fall semester Monday, Aug. 21, for thousands of new and returning students to the McNeese State University campus.

The Lake Area community is invited to the Theatre Roundup at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in Tritico Theatre.

School of Rock logo
McNeese State University’s weekly radio show – the School of Rock on KBYS 88.3 FM - will pay tribute to Elvis Presley, the legendary "King of Rock 'n' Roll. The Show will air "The King is Gone But He's Not Forgotten!" at its regular time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, as well as a special time at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

For a second year, McNeese assistant professor of biology Dr. Amber Hale will sail aboard Exploration Vessel Nautilus.

Students who have registered online for McNeese State University’s 2017 regular fall semester have until 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16 to pay fees.

Sixty local and international high school students are currently on the McNeese campus for summer camps.

McNeese State University has received a five-year federal grant totaling more than $1.6 million from the U.S. Department of Education to continue the university’s Upward Bound program.
