He will be reading from his latest book, "Pirates You Don't Know, and Other Adventures in the Examined Life," a collection of essays from the University of Georgia Press. Griswold is also the author of several other published works, including "A Democracy of Ghosts" and "Herrin: The Brief History of an Infamous City." His stories, poems and essays have appeared in a number of literary journals and magazines.
His work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, listed as notable in "The Best American Nonrequired Reading" and was included in "The Best Creative Nonfiction, Vol. 3" of W.W. Norton Anthology.
He currently teaches fiction and creative writing courses at McNeese and is editor of The McNeese Review. He received his bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and his MFA from the University of Miami.
