McNeese BRIDGES Program Now Offered Year Round
The McNeese State University Autism Program will now offer its BRIDGES program year round. Enrollment is open for ages 13 and up for those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum.
BRIDGES – Building Respect and Independence by Directing, Guiding and Encouraging Socialization – was introduced last summer on campus to “bridge a gap” between the increasing need for services for youth ages 14-18.
According to Lettie Goings, director of the program, BRIDGES consists of focused skills for independence that will help support employment and social success for adolescents and young adults.
Insurance and private pay options are available.
MAP has been providing applied behavior analysis therapy for patients diagnosed with ASD since 2008. Currently, MAP provides not only one-on-one ABA therapy to patients, but it also works to provide more specialized treatment programs such as BRIDGES.
