Entrance Requirements

ADMISSION TO THE MBA DEGREE PROGRAM
 
In addition to the general requirements for admission to the Graduate School, applicants for admission to the MBA program must meet the necessary departmental requirements to be admitted to the MBA Program which includes an acceptable GMAT or GRE score in addition to meeting admission formulas as applicable.
 
The GMAT or GRE score must be submitted directly from the Educational Testing Service to McNeese State University and the time the test was taken must be no more than five years from the date of submission.

Additionally, applicants for admission to the MBA program must meet the following requirements:
  • A minimum of 400 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and a total of at least 950 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the overall undergraduate grade-point average + the Graduate Management Admission Test score; or at least 1000 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the upper division (last 60 hours of undergraduate) grade-point average + the GMAT score.
OR
  • A minimum of 286 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) on the current scale and a total of at least 836 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the overall undergraduate grade-point average + the Graduate Record Examination score; or at least 886 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the upper division (last 60 hours of undergraduate) grade-point average + the GRE score
OR
  • A minimum of 800 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) on the old scale and a total of at least 1350 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the overall undergraduate grade-point average + the Graduate Record Examination score; or at least 1400 points based on the formula: Two hundred times the upper division (last 60 hours of undergraduate) grade-point average + the GRE score.
