Students!--Instructions for Registering Your Account

After you purchase your activation code from the bookstore, go to www.livetext.com or click one of the links to LiveText on this site. It should open the LT site in a new tab, leaving this page also open so you can click back here for reference.

  1. Click on "Register Account."
  2. Type your registration code EXACTLY as it appears on the card into the textbox.
  3. Click Next, and fill out the rest of the form appropriately, paying attention to these three things in particular:
    • School Email Address: be sure to use your McNeese email address.
    • Student ID: This is your banner 000 number.
    • Username: To ensure you remember it, make you LiveText userid the same as your Portal userid (e.g. msu-yourname1).

If you follow these simple protocols, you won't have any trouble registering your account, retrieving your password should you lose it, or ensuring that LiveText can match you to your writing-enriched courses.

Never Lose Files, or Hard drives, again!

Hey LiveText Users!

Did you know that you can store any file type in your LiveText account? Instead of carrying around a USB portable device, which can be stolen or lost, save your documents in your LiveText file manager!

Just login to your LiveText account; on the right-hand side there's an orange file cabinet and next to it are the words, "File Manager." Click on it and begin uploading documents from your home computer's hard drive or your portable USB device. Files upload just like email attachments and you can "label" them to keep it all organized.

Since your LiveText is available to you whenever and wherever you have internet access, you can retrieve your work anytime. And the best part is it stays safe, secure, and always retrievable.

Use your file manager today and don't risk losing that USB drive with all your important work on it.

LiveText at McNeese Link on the Portal

This fall, faculty and students will be able to access this LiveText site through the MSU Portal, so you don't have to navigate to it independently. Under Student Links (or Faculty Links) you'll see "LiveText." Click on it and it will bring you here for updates and news. Then, you can click on Go to LiveText, login to your LT account and get to work!
