| Ricardo Parra was born on April 3rd 1981 in Chihuahua, Mexico. At age 14, Ricardo moved to Fort Polk, Louisiana under the supervision of his sister and brother-in-law. Attending Leesville High School for a year, Ricardo, decided to live in the United States permanently. Graduating from Leesville with a 4.0 grade point average, Ricardo then enrolled in McNeese State University under the LAMP program during the summer of 1999. |
| Today Ricardo Parra is a Resident Assistant of Sallier Hall, member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), President of the Mathematical Association of America, Secretary of the International Student Association (ISA), and a Mentor for LAMP. He hopes to graduate from McNeese with a degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, seek employment with a prestigious company, and one day teach at a University level. |
