Tax Filing for F-1 Students

The Office of International Programs has partnered with Sprintax to offer assistance in filing the 1040 NR (tax filing for F-1 students). The Office of International Programs will provide each student on an F-1 visa a special, single-use code which will provide access to the Sprintax system.  The Sprinax system is a user-friendly program that will walk you through each step of the 1040 NR filing process.

The following link will take you to the Sprintax site:

You will need a code to use Sprintax. In order to obtain the Sprintax code, you must present your student ID to the International Programs Office (Kaufman 113).  The code cannot be shared, and you will not be given more than one code.

On March 14th, the Office of International Programs will organize a filing session, during which staff members will be available to help you use the Sprintax system. There will be two help sessions: 12:00 to 1:30 pm and 3:00 to 4:30 pm in BBC 302.  An email with detail about this event is forthcoming, so please check you student email for more information.

Please note that  no assistance will be available outside of the March 14th session, but the Sprintax system is designed to be used with ease. The last day to submit 2013 taxes is April 15th.
