Student Classification

First-Time Freshman - A student who has enrolled in no previous college level coursework in either the United States or abroad.
               
Transfer from Undergraduate Study at a U.S. Institution - An undergraduate student who has most recently been enrolled in previous college level coursework in the United States.
               
Transfer from a Language Program at a U.S. Institution - An undergraduate or graduate student who has most recently been enrolled in a language program at a U.S.Institution.

Only credit earned at the ESLI program here on the McNeese State University campus can be used to fulfill the language requirement of admission. All other language programs at other campuses are not acceptable for admission purposes unless the student was issued a conditional letter of acceptance directly from McNeese State University

Transfer from a non-U.S. Institution - An undergraduate or graduate student who has most recently been enrolled in previous college level coursework outside the United States.

First Time Graduate - A student who has completed their undergraduate study (in or outside the United States) but has not previously enrolled in graduate level coursework.
               
Transfer from Graduate Study at a U.S. Institution - A graduate student who has studied, or is currently studying, in graduate school in a U.S Institution.
