If a student cannot prove English proficiency in one of the ways described above, they should take English Language study. For McNeese students, there is a great opportunity to learn English on the McNeese campus!

Intensive English Language training at McNeese is offered through a private company, ELS Language Centers. ELS works directly with McNeese State University to assist English language students who wish to apply for conditional admission to the university.

By applying for conditional admission through ELS, students can gain acceptance into the English language program and receive a conditional letter of acceptance (CLA) from McNeese. Upon completion of the ELS program, you may enter McNeese without submitting the TOEFL or IELTS exams.

For more information, please contact the ELS directly at info@els.edu. Or contact the local ELS Center office on the McNeese State University campus at (337) 562-4950.
