Act 506 of the 2001 Louisiana Legislative Session removed the sales of less than $125,000 exemption written in the original 1997 Louisiana Act #1206 on a Safety Certification. All food service licensees are required to have personnel with a valid Food Safety Certificate on duty the entire time food is being served. This ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification program meets the training and testing requirements to obtain a valid Food Safety Certificate from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).
