Procedure Writing for Industry

Procedure Writing for Industry

November 19, 2013
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$250 per person
Location: ETL 111

This course presents a comprehensive overview of process, instruction, and procedure writing.  Inspectors and regulatory institutions believe that "If you didn't write it down, then it didn't happen."  Determining how systems work and how processes occur is a requirement that companies must meet, and documentation of these systems is not negotiable; it is required.
This course introduces process, instruction, and procedure writing to keep processes consistent.  Effectively prepared process, instruction, and procedure documents keep companies compliant and employees and property safe.  Participants will learn how to write documents that ensure consistency and address safety and liability.  Participants will have the opportunity to analyze process, instruction, and procedure documents and to write about a relevant process, instruction, and/or procedure, and then assess the results. To foster successful process, instruction, and procedure document production, the course will also address writing issues that often affect the clarity, coherence, and correctness of documents.
