McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for the position of Instructor in the Department of Biology and Health Sciences. This is a full time, 9–month, unclassified, non-tenure track position. The appointment begins August 2014.
Position Description and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for functions related to teaching, coordinating introductory biology laboratories, research, and university and community service. Teaching will include microbiology and introductory biology (majors and/or non-science majors) as well as other courses as needed by the department. Standard teaching responsibility will be 15 contact hours per regular semester. Summer teaching also may be available.
Required: M.S. in biology or related area and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: Teaching experience and the ability to teach microbiology.
Salary: $40,000 plus benefits (non-negotiable)
