McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for Assistant Professor and Instructor (2 positions) of Engineering Technology for Process Plant and Instrumentation Technology disciplines in the Department of Engineering Technology. Both positions are unclassified, full-time, 9-month positions.  The Assistant Professor position is a tenure-track position and the Instructor position is a non-tenure track position.  Both appointments will begin on August 13, 2008.

Position Description and Responsibilities:The Assistant Professor and Instructor of Engineering Technology  are responsible for functions related to and include teaching courses for the Process Plant and/or Instrumentation technology concentration of the A.S. and B.S. in Engineering Technology.  Responsibilities will also include other related activities normally associated with an academic position.  The Instructor will work closely with students and faculty.

Qualifications: Required: Earned master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or appropriate related field.  A minimum 3 years relevant industrial experience is required and P.E. registration is a plus.

General Information:  McNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System.
