Director of the MBA Program
College of Business

McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for the position of Director of the MBA Program in the College of Business. This is a full-time, unclassified, tenure-track, 9-month position beginning August 2008.

Position Description and Responsibilities: The Director will serve as faculty member and general manager of the MBA Program. The Director will be expected to teach in their area of academic study as well as perform administrative duties. As MBA Director, the appointee will report directly to the Dean of the College of Business and be responsible for:

  • Providing general management of the MBA Program; supervise staff and direct program activities.
  • Strategic management functions of the program – communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the development of program curricula, policies, assessment, and assurance of learning for SACS and AACSB accreditation.
  • Recruitment.
  • Managing advising services and employer relations for MBA students.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a terminal degree in a business related field, be academically qualified at the time of hire as per the McNeese College of Business Procedures Manual and have demonstrated quality teaching skills. Administrative experience is preferred but not necessary.

General Information: McNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System. Salary: $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
