Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Department of Engineering

McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for two Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Engineering. The Department of Engineering offers ABET accredited B.S. in Engineering degrees and Master of Engineering degrees with concentrations in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering. These are full-time, nine-month, unclassified, tenure-track positions.  The appointments begin in the Fall 2008 semester.

Position Description and Responsibilities:  The Assistant Professor responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and masters-level graduate courses and commitment to teaching excellence.

Qualifications:  Required:  Doctorate in mechanical engineering with a background in thermal/fluid systems (position 1) or design/control (position 2).  Preferred: Industrial experience, hands-on experimental work, and teaching experience are preferred.

Deadline:  Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until both positions are filled.
