The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting position. This is a full-time, unclassified, tenure-track, 9-month position beginning August 2008.
Position Description and Responsibilities: The position is open to applicants in all areas of accounting. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, and a commitment to intellectual contributions and providing service to the profession and university.
Qualifications: Candidates must have defended a dissertation proposal or received a Ph.D./DBA in Accounting from an accredited university. McNeese College of Business is AACSB accredited; therefore, candidates must be academically qualified at the time of hire as per the McNeese College of Business Procedures Manual and have demonstrated quality teaching skills. Appointment at the Associate rank requires an established research record and demonstrated teaching and service accomplishments. “Professional Certification” and practical experience in teaching field preferred.
General Information: McNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System. Salary: $85,000
Academic Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
