McNeese State University is currently accepting applications for four (4) graduate assistant athletic trainer positions for Fall 2014. This is a 10 month position beginning August 1, 2014 and can be renewed for a second year. This position includes a $9,000 stipend ($4,500/semester) and full tuition waiver. McNeese State University’s 16 intercollegiate sports compete at the NCAA Division I (FCS football) level and are members of the Southland Conference.
Include, but are not limited to: assisting athletic training staff with overall sports medicine care for 16 Division I athletic programs and athletic training coverage and team travel with sports as determined by the Head Athletic Trainer. Other responsibilities include supervision of athletic training students, clinical instructor for a CAATE accredited athletic training program, daily operation of athletic training facilities, and other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
Successful candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in athletic training or other related field and must be accepted into the McNeese State University Graduate School. Applicants must be eligible for NATABOC certification upon application and must be certified by start date. Applicants must also hold CPR/First Aid/AED certification and be eligible for Louisiana state certification.
