McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for two (2) positions of Assistant Professor of Management in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration. These are full-time, unclassified, 9-month, tenure-track positions. The appointments begin in fall 2018.

Position Description and Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Professor of Management, the appointee will be responsible for fulfilling teaching, research, and service responsibilities as a member of McNeese’s AACSB-accredited College of Business, which offers an MBA and B.S. degrees in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and general business. The teaching load is four courses per semester.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Management from an AACSB-accredited institution, or a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Industrial Organization Psychology from an equivalently accredited institution, and must be academically qualified as per AACSB standards. The position requires teaching different management courses including Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. The position expects the appointee to generate intellectual contributions to keep current in his/her field and to comply with the College’s criteria on academic qualifications for AACSB accreditation purposes. In addition, the appointee will advise students, and performs appropriate departmental, college, university, and community service.

ABD candidates may be considered if the degree completion date is on or near the date of employment. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching and intellectual contributions as well as exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

$90,000
