Two years of experience in the electrical trade (such as electrician's helper).
Training in the electrical trade will substitute for the required experience on a month for month basis.
The Facilities and Plant Office invites qualified applicants to the position of Electrician.
The starting hourly rate is $12.14 and is NON NEGOTIABLE.
A comprehensive background investigation will be conducted for this position to include criminal felony/misdemeanor search and a search of previous employers/credentials/education, etc.
This position requires driving and a clear driving record and valid driver's license will be required at hire. Drug testing is conducted for this position at new hire and on a random basis. This position is considered non-exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position is full time, 7:45 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. M-F with some required overtime as necessary. This position will work in the Electrical Shop in Maintenance. This position has a physical component and the successful applicant must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, stand for long periods, walk, climb ladders, reach above shoulders, lift medium to heavy weight, carry medium to heavy weight, and operate various technology and powered equipment.
