Two years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.
Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.
Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
This position is in Admissions and Recruiting and is full time with comprehensive benefits. This position is considered non exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position is full time with work hours from 7:45-4:30 M-F with a 45 minute lunch period.
This position has a starting entrance hourly rate of $10.15 per hour and is NON NEGOTIABLE.
Preference may be given to applicants who have previous working experience with data entry in Ellucian Banner Student System Module and those who have at least an Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
The successful candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to participate in a team work environment. Excellent organizational skills, computer skills to include mass amounts of data entry and multi-tasking skills are required. Candidates must have excellent performance and attendance records as well as the ability to adjust to frequent changes and fast-paced environment.
McNeese conducts an extensive background investigation to include criminal/misdemeanor search, education verification, and previous employment history verification. This position may require a valid driver's license if required to drive to conduct university business.
